my friend and i went on a morning tour of florence with camilla on our first full day in the city, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction!! from the very beginning, camilla was warm, kind, and clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about florence’s history (with the added depth of her experience as an art historian and florence local). she walked us through a cohesive and engaging story of florence from the medieval ages to the renaissance era including several notable medici family members, and offered several different perspectives throughout the tour (from the sacred/religious in the medieval, to the scientific/monetary in the renaissance). we especially loved her female-centered review of influential characters (shoutout to flora, eleonora, and ana maria)! i started taking notes on my phone because i didn’t want to forget the connections she drew!! i can’t recommend her enough :) in the end, she also answered questions with patience and sent us recommendations via whatsapp. grazie mille, camilla!! ????

I enjoyed very much Camilla’s guided tour today in Florence. A lesson of history narrated with passion and sensitivity, which transposed me 500-800 years back in time and seated ideally the scene for my personal deep diving 3 days trip into renaissance era and the masterpieces of its immortal representatives.
